Getting Around
Taxi service is available on Grand Cayman, however, most visitors find it easier
to secure their own mode of transportation. Vehicle rental is the most popular
option though bicycle and moped rentals are available as well. In order to drive
any vehicle in Grand Cayman, as in most countries, you must possess a valid
international drivers license. We do have a preferred rental company for guest
who wish to utilize this service and information will be supplied when making a
reservation request. PS; Don’t forget to drive on the left!

Things To Do
The preferred activity while on Grand Cayman is relaxing. But if you should
decide to take in the sights and sounds of the island, here are a few options.
Scuba Diving & Water Sports - From world renowned dive sites to fun on
the beach, Grand Cayman has it all when it comes to experiencing the pristine
waters of the Caribbean. 159 mapped dive sites await you, from shipwrecks to
deep walls and shallow reefs. Don’t feel like strapping on the tanks? You can
experience this underwater world in one of many mini-submarine tours or simply
by grabbing a mask, fins and snorkel and mapping out your own journey. If you
would rather stay a little drier, check out the multitude of other activities
like sailing, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking and windsurfing just to name a
few.
Stingray City - A Cayman Island must see. Just a boat ride away, your
family can swim in the shallow waters that have become a haven for stingrays.
Over the years the frequency of visitors to this amazing place have turned the
rays into pet-like pals that you can easily swim with touch and feed. There may
be no other experience like this in the world. Don’t leave the island without
seeing it.
Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park - 65 acres of tropical beauty offering
more than just flowering splendor. It is also one of the best places to catch a
glimpse of the endangered Grand Cayman Blue Iguana. The park is one of the
lesser known attractions but well worth the trip.
Turtle Farm - A great spot for animal lovers and kids alike. The turtle
farm houses over 16,000 sea turtles from hatchlings to 600 lbs. You can
experience these magnificent creatures hands on and if your lucky, you just
might be able to see their release program first hand.
Black Pearl Skate & Surf Park - Like to skate or surf? This place has it
all. From a one of a kind pro skate park to a controlled 16,000 gallon per
minute wave suitable for both beginner and pro surfers. The park also features
training camps from pro skaters and a great boardshop with boards, equipment,
brand name clothing and more.
Pedro St. James Historic Site - If history is your thing then you will
enjoy this historically accurate 1780 great house and traditional grounds. Many
pirate folktales surrounds this estate but it is best known as the birthplace of
democracy in the Cayman Islands. A 49 seat theatre provides visitors with a 20
minute presentation on the history of Cayman. Both guided and self guided tours
are available.
Jolly Roger Tour - Great fun for the kid in all of us. Take a ride on the
Jolly Roger, an authentic replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon. Don’t
forget to bring your camera and swimwear because your likely to witness a little
of the pirate life including a pirate trial, sword fights and cannon fire. Just
watch out because your kids might turn pirate and make you walk the plank!
Go To Hell And Back - One of the unique spots on Grand Cayman is a
community just north of seven mile beach called Hell. Named for its eerie black
rock formations, Hell has a gift shop where you will be greeted by a man in a
terribly cheesy devil costume with even cheesier hell jokes. Here you can mail a
postcard from Hell, get a memorable photo opportunity or pick up a few
interesting souvenirs.
Other Activities - There are many other activities to explore on Grand
Cayman such as championship level golfing (when available), nightlife
entertainment and duty free shopping. Festivals and holidays are common on Grand
Cayman so, depending on when your visiting, you might want to check out some of
the sights, sounds and culture of the locals. Don’t forget to check out some of
the world class dinning options to complete your Caribbean experience.
